Peebuddies are designed to be easy-to-use for first time and veteran parents. Here is how we recommend using it to make your diaper changes quick and dry.
After removing your son's diaper, place a Peebuddy over him so that the cone is covering his penis and the waist band is hanging on his waist above his legs. The waist band is not designed to go all the way around your son's waist and there is no need to try and tuck the ends underneath him.
Holding his feet together, lift his legs up so that the waist band is secured between his thighs and stomach. Begin cleaning your son with a baby wipe as usual.
Before removing the Peebuddy to finish cleaning, place a clean, open diaper underneath your son. Remove the Peebuddy and clean underneath it with the baby wipe before closing and fastening the diaper.
Peebuddies are designed to last from newborn until potty training (0-3 years more or less). You may notice that it is a little big for some newborns as birth size varies but the fit should not affect functionality.
As your child grows, so will his bladder! Peebuddies will continue to absorb as much as possible, but its ability to absorb everything will decrease over time.
Peebuddies utilizes multiple layers of ultra-absorbent fabric which can soak up liquid 20 times faster than other material and absorb 10x its weight in under 2 seconds. It is used in a number of reusable articles such as diapers and burp cloths, pet beds and cage liners, nursing pads and bras, and mattress covers. Also, the fabric is both hypo-allergenic and baby safe.
Additionally, Peebuddies were designed to be most absorbent in the spots you need it most. Each layer of fabric was strategically placed and sewn to maximize absorption which is why we guarantee it will absorb better than any other solution on the market.
Yes, Peebuddies are safe for your child. The fabric that is placed on the skin is hypo-allergenic and baby safe - it is used in a number of other products such as reusable diapers and mattress pads.
Cleaning your Peebuddies is easy! Just throw it in the washer with medium/cold water and tumble dry medium. Do not use fabric softener or bleach and you can iron if needed after washing and drying.
If your Peebuddy comes into contact with some "number 2", you may want to scrub gently with some soap and water and soak before placing in the washing machine with other garments.
Peebuddies are NOT pre-washed so we recommend washing 4times with hot water before your first use in order to active the absorptive properties of the fabric.
